MHM thanks Pat Emerson, Head of Archaeology for the Minnesota Historical Society, for allowing us to participate once again in Minnesota's Archaeology Fair

On 8-9 May 2010, Maritime Heritage Minnesota staff Ann and Christopher set up Model Shipwrecks and a visual exhibit to inform visitors to the Minnesota Archaeology Fair about our activities. The Model Shipwrecks were inspired by the mock shipwreck "Sinkentine" used in the Maritime Studies Program at East Carolina University as a teaching tool, and MHM has been using them for one year. MHM informed Archaeology Fair visitors about our current projects, particularly research on the history of the USS Essex history and site conservation, and our plans do document the starboard side of the steamer Andy Gibson.
