MHM thanks Pat Emerson, Head of Archaeology for the Minnesota Historical Society, for allowing us to participate once again in Minnesota's Archaeology Fair, and thanks to the staff of the Thomas C. Savage Visitors Center at Fort Snelling State Park.


On 21-22 May 2011, Maritime Heritage Minnesota staff Ann and Christopher a visual exhibit to inform visitors to the Minnesota Archaeology Fair about our activities. MHM informed Archaeology Fair visitors about our current projects, particularly the history, nautical archaeology, and site condition assessments of the USS Essex in Duluth, our excavations of the starboard side of the Mississippi River steamer wreck Andy Gibson, and our Mississippi River Aitkin County Side Imaging Sonar Survey.
